Whatâs a Beer mile?
The Beer Mile is a unique challenge mixing the lactic acid with the alcohol in your blood. Athletes need to drink a 355ml beer with >5% alcohol and run 400m, four times in a row to complete the mile (1609m).
In order to score an official time, you need to follow these RULES.
NEWS
We are waiting for the big bosses from beermile.com to discuss changing the rules regarding the size of the official beer bottles. We might change from 355ml to 330ml with a lower leftovers allowance, which would be great news for us!

The Swiss team doesnât have any athletes yet willing to go to the Beer Mile World Classic 2024, held in Chicago on the 1st of July, which is unfortunately mid-season for many of us. If youâre interested or know someone that might be, do not hesitate to come forward: the event is supposedly going to be legendary!

Beer Mile World Classic - Leuven (Belgium) - October 2022
Two Swiss athletes, Alex Lunghi and Michele Lardi, went to Belgium to defend for the first time the Swiss colors. An amazing experience with incredible people made this race unforgettable and created the necessity to do it again.
European Championships - Manchester (England) - April 2023
A highly motivated team of four, with the two newbies Pietro Calamai and Roberto Canonica, headed to Manchester to a European Championship with only five different nations. Nevertheless, our athletes had again the time of their lives and swear they need to do it again!
